Generation 1

WILLIAM STANLEY (WILLIAM9, JOHN8, ROBERT7, ROBERT6, JOHN5, HENRY4, GERARD3, HENRY2, RICHARD1) was born in Lingham, Moreton, Wirral and baptised on the 2nd December, 1834 at St. Hilary Parish Church, Wallasey.

William married ELLEN MEADOWS at Birkenhead Parish Church on the 16th MAY, 1865. Ellen was the daughter of ELLEN JACKSON and GEORGE MEADOWS, a farmer, and was born at Arrowe on the 20th December, 1838. William eventually became the farmer of Sandhey Farm, Great Meols, Wirral.

Ellen died on the 10th June and was buried at Holy Trinity Parish Church, Hoylake, Wirral on the 13th June, 1891. William died on the 25th March, 1909 at Sandhey Farm, Great Meols and was buried with his wife.

ELIZABETH STANLEY (WILLIAM10, WILLIAM9, JOHN8, ROBERT7, ROBERT6, JOHN5, HENRY4, GERARD3, HENRY2, RICHARD1) was born in Great Meols and baptised on the 3 rd September, 1865 at Holy Trinity Parish Church, Hoylake. Elizabeth was a dressmaker.

She married JAMES HAZELHURST on the 2nd January, 1887 in St. John the Baptist Parish Church, Toxteth Park, Liverpool. James was the son of WILLIAM HAZELHURST and SARAH SUTTON. Elizabeth and James were living in Liverpool at the time of their marriage. James was born on the 2nd December, 1856 and baptised on the 25th December, 1856 at St. Oswald Parish Church, Bidston.

Joseph married MARTHA DAVIES on the 16th December, 1900 at Holy Trinity Parish Church, Hoylake, Wirral. She was born in 1874. Joseph died on the 27th May, 1953 and Martha died on the 22nd October, 1966. They were both buried at Holy Trinity Parish Church, Hoylake.

HENRY STANLEY (WILLIAM10, WILLIAM9, JOHN8, ROBERT7, ROBERT6, JOHN5, HENRY4, GERARD3, HENRY2, RICHARD1) was born in Great Meols and baptised on the 23rd July, 1879 at Holy Trinity Parish Church, Hoylake. He married GERTRUDE ELIZABETH DAVIES. Henry died on the 7th July, 1909 in Sandhey Farm, Great Meols and was buried on the 10th July, 1909 at Holy Trinity Parish Church, Hoylake. Gertrude died on the 11th November, 1953 and was buried with her husband.

She married CHARLES THEODORE ROBERTS from Woolton, Liverpool on the 24th November, 1902 at Holy Trinity Parish Church, Hoylake. Charles was the son of CHARLES ROBERTS and a golf club maker. Charles died on the 1st May, 1918 and Charlotte died on the 6 th September, 1938. They were both buried at St. Peter Parish Church, Woolton, Liverpool.
