THE STANLEY and WILCOCK FAMILY

WILLIAM STANLEY, (JOHN⁸, ROBERT⁷, ROBERT ⁶, JOHN⁵, HENRY⁴, GERARD ³, HENRY², RICHARD ¹) was born in Dodleston, Cheshire and was baptised on the 24^th October, 1802 at St. Mary Parish Church, Dodleston.

He married ELIZABETH LEDSOM 30^th August, 1824 at St. Hilary Parish Church, Wallasey, Wirral. Elizabeth was the daughter of PETER LEDSOM and FANNY KEMP of Poulton. She was baptised on the 20^th August, 1797, St. Hilary Parish Church, Wallasey. In 1825, William was an Arrowe farmer, but a few years later he farmed at Lingham. He and Elizabeth built up the farm to 83 acres in 1871.

William died on 13^th October, 1845, at Lingham, Moreton and was buried on the 14^th October at St. Hilary Parish Church, Wallasey. Elizabeth was buried on the 31^st May, 1877 with her husband.

4. MARGARET STANLEY , b. 1829, Moreton; d. September 23, 1893, Lingham, Moreton.

5. JAMES STANLEY , b. May 15, 1830, Lingham, Moreton; d. 1902, 13, Lake Place, Hoylake, Wirral.

6. WILLIAM STANLEY, b. 1831, Lingham, Moreton; bapt. June 17, 1831 St. Hilary Parish Church, Wallasey; d. June 1831, Lingham, Moreton; bur. June 09, 1831 St. Hilary Parish Church, Wallasey.
