Generation 1

ROBERT STANLEY (JOHN5, HENRY4, GERARD3HENRY2, RICHARD1) was born in Storeton, Wirral and was baptised on the 26th September, 1722 at St. Andrew Parish Church, Bebington, Wirral. He married ANN PERRY, daughter of HENRY and ALICE PERRY, on the 4thJanuary, 1751 at Burton Parish Church, Cheshire.

Robert and Ann lived and raised their family in Tranmere, Wirral. Robert died there and was buried on the 12th March, 1761 at St. Andrew Parish Church, Bebington. Ann, known as NANCY, also died in Tranmere some years later and was buried with her husband on the 28th January, 1783.

The children of ROBERT STANLEY and NANCY are:

  1. JOHN STANLEY, b. 1751, Tranmere; bapt. June 12, 1751, St. Andrew Parish Church, Bebington.

  2. ROBERT STANLEY, b. 1754, Tranmere, Wirral; d. August 28, 1834, Wallasey, Wirral.

  3. THOMAS STANLEY, b. 1756, Tranmere, Wirral; bapt. December 25, 1756, St. Andrew Parish Church, Bebington; occ. Smith; m. Sarah; d. January 27, 1839; left a will.

Generation 2

ROBERT STANLEY (ROBERT6, JOHN5, HENRY4, GERARD3HENRY2, RICHARD1) was born in Tranmere, Wirral, and baptised on the 3th May, 1754 at St. Andrew Parish Church, Bebington.

He married MARTHA FORSHALL on the 3rd October, 1774 in St. Hilary Parish Church, Wallasey, Wirral. She was the daughter of CHARLES FORSHALL and MARY. Martha was baptised on the 9th January, 1746 at St. Hilary Parish Church, Wallasey, Wirral. She had a twin sister, Mary.

Robert worked as a farm servant in Woodchurch, Wirral before he was married, but by the time Martha died in 1781, he was a Wallasey farmer. Martha was buried on the 18th September, 1781 at St. Hilary Parish Church, Wallasey.

Robert married ELLEN HARRISON, a Bebington widow, on the 19th August, 1788 at St. Hilary Parish Church, Wallasey. Ellen was born about 1751 and was buried on the 10th March, 1826 in St. Hilary Parish Church, Wallasey. By the time Robert died on the 28th August, 1834, he was a yeoman. He left a will and was buried on the 31st August, 1834 at St. Hilary Parish Church, Wallasey.

The children of ROBERT STANLEY and MARTHA FORSHALL are:

  1. NANCY STANLEY, b. 1774, Wallasey; bapt. November 13, 1774, St. Hilary Parish Church, Wallasey; d. Aft. 1834; m. HENRY PYE.

  2. ROBERT STANLEY, b. 1776, Wallasey; d. 1813, Liverpool.

  3. JOHN STANLEY, b. 1778, Wallasey; d. March 15, 1859, Saughall Massie, Wirral.

  4. WILLIAM STANLEY, b. 1779, Wallasey; bapt. October 31, 1779, St. Hilary Parish Church, Wallasey; d. Bef. 1789.

  1. WILLIAM STANLEY, b. 1789, Wallasey; bapt. July 19, 1789, St. Hilary Parish Church, Wallasey; d. 1791, Wallasey; bur. June 24, 1791, St. Hilary Parish Church, Wallasey.

  2. ELIZABETH STANLEY, b. 1790, Wallasey, Wirral; d. Bef. 1829, Wallasey, Wirral.

Generation 3

ROBERT STANLEY (ROBERT7, ROBERT6, JOHN5, HENRY4, GERARD3HENRY2, RICHARD1) was born in Wallasey and baptised on the 30th January, 1776 in St. Hilary Parish Church, Wallasey.

He married JANE SPARK on the 19th August, 1798 in St. Hilary Parish Church, Wallasey. Before his marriage, Robert was a husbandman, but after his marrige he moved to Liverpool and was a tobacconist. Robert died in Liverpool, but was buried on the 3rd November, 1813 at St. Hilary Parish Church, Wallasey.
