THE STANLEY and WILCOCK FAMILY

GORDON STANLEY (JOSEPH ERNEST¹¹, JOSEPH¹⁰, JAMES⁹, JOHN⁸, ROBERT⁷, ROBERT⁶, JOHN⁵, HENRY⁴, GERARD³, HENRY², RICHARD¹)was born on the 24^th December, 1932 in 10, Evans Road, Hoylake, Wirral and was baptised on the 12^th February, 1933 at Holy Trinity Parish Church Hoylake. He loved bell ringing and sport.

He married CLAIRE WILCOCK on the 25^th August, 1962 in St. Thomas Parish Church, Wavertree, Liverpool, daughter of WILLIAM WILCOCK and CLARA SUTCLIFFE. Claire has lived in Liverpool, all her life and was baptised at St. Dunstan Parish Church, Edgehill, Liverpool on the 16^th May, 1937.

Gordon worked as a shipping clerk in P.S.N.C. for most of his life and Claire was a primary school teacher. They lived in Liverpool. Gordon died on the 4^th May, 2006 in Liverpool and was buried in Allerton Cemetery, Springwood, Liverpool on the 8^th May, 2006.

They had two sons:

1. IAN DUNCAN STANLEY, b. 23^rd September, 1966, 33 Rutland Avenue, Halewood, Liverpool.
   
2. ADRIAN JAMES STANLEY, b. 9^th March, 1970, 33, Rutland Avenue, Halewood, Liverpool.
   Adrian was baptized on the 8^th July, 1984 at the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral. He enjoyed singing in the Cathedral choir and later played in a jazz band with his friends, in Juvenile Jazz (Jazz Amiga). Adrian married Jaru Grace Sai Bunthong on the 16^th Aptil, 2005 in the Alicia Hotel, Liverpool. They lived in Hemel Hempstead for some time and then moved to Emmer Green, Reading. He works for Glaxo Smith Kline.
