JOHN SUTTON (JOHN2, JOHN1)was born in Moreton and was baptised on the 27th
August 27, 1809 in St. Oswald Parish Church, Bidston. In 1840, he married MARY CROFTS in Holy Trinity Parish Church,
Hoylake. They lived in Great Meols, where John farmed his 68 acre farm. Mary, who died on the 2nd May,
1869 in Great Meols, was buried on the 5th May, 1869 in St. Oswald Parish Church,
Bidston.
John then married ELIZABETH CRAINE, daughter of CHARLES CRAINE. Eliza was a widow, ELIZA FORESTER, when she married John.
The marriage took place on the 26th
April, 1870 in St. Bridget Parish Church, West Kirby, Wirral. Eliza had been born in Douglas in the Isle of Man.
When John and Eliza retired they went to live in 5, Sea View, Hoylake.
John died on the 22nd August, 1888 in Hoylake, Wirral and was buried on the 25th August, 1888 in
St. Oswald Parish Church, Bidston.

WILLIAM CRAINE SUTTON (JOHN3JOHN2JOHN1) was born about 1874 in Hoose, Wirral. He served
his building apprenticeship in 1891 and later worked as a joiner. Eventually, William became a building contractor and a
gentleman farmer of New Hall Farm, Neston, Wirral. He married EMMA MEADOWS, daughter of EDWARD
MEADOWS and ANN ELIZABETH, on the 17th August, 1897 in Holy Trinity Parish Church, Hoylake. Emma's sister,
Annie Elizabeth Meadows was amongst the wedding witnesses.
William died on the 7th January, 1938 and was buried in Holy Trinity Parish Church, Hoylake. Emma died a few
years later on the 13th July, 1945 and was buried with her husband.
