JOHN JONES married MARY WILSON in St. Hilary Parish Church, Wallasey, Wirral on the 9th February, 1768. John was a yeoman, so they settled on a farm in Great Sutton, Cheshire.

Mary was buried on the 27th October, 1833 in St. Mary Parish Church, Eastham, Cheshire. She was 94 years old.

ROBERT JONES (JOHN1) was born in Great Sutton, Cheshire and was baptised on the 28th July, 1776 in St. Mary Parish Church, Eastham. He married MARTHA PICKERING on the 21st September, 1802 in St. Mary Parish Church, Eastham.

They lived in Great Sutton and Robert was a farmer. Martha died in November 1841 and was buried in St. Mary Parish Church, Eastham. Robert was buried on the 17th April, 1860 with his wife.

JOSEPH JONES (JOHN1) was born in Great Sutton and baptised on the 29th October, 1782 in St. Mary Parish Church, Eastham. He married MARY. They started married life in Great Sutton, Wirral. Then they moved to Hoylake, Wirral about 1822. Joseph was a farmer and for a short time a publican. He died in Hoose, Cheshire, but was buried on the 2 nd July, 1825 in St. Mary Parish Church, Eastham.

After Joseph's death, Mary married JOHN CROFTS on the 22nd February, 1827 in St. John Church, Old Haymarket, Liverpool. Their witnesses were Robert and Jane Shaw. John Crofts died in Great Meols aged 72 years and was buried on the 25th May, 1847 in St. Bridget Parish Church, West Kirby. Mary was buried with him on the 21st December, 1853, aged 67 years.

ROBERT JONES (ROBERT2, JOHN1) was born in Great Sutton and baptised on the 4th November, 1804 in St. Mary Parish Church, Eastham. He married JANE PICKERING on the 7th November, 1834 in St. Mary Parish Church, Eastham and went to Liverpool to live, before returning to Great Sutton.

Robert was died on the 12th May, 1877 and was buried in St. Mary Parish Church, Eastham on the 14th May, 1877. His wife, Jane died on the 25th February, 1882 and was also buried in St. Mary Parish Church, Eastham.

RICHARD JONES (ROBERT2, JOHN1) was born in Great Sutton and baptised on the 30th January, 1814 in St. Mary Parish Church, Eastham. He married MARY, who was born in Altringham about 1822. Richard had a 180 acre farm in Overpool, he and his sons farmed

Mary died on the 10th January, 1885 and was buried in St. Mary Parish Church, Eastham. Richard died a few years later on the 8th January, 1900 in Overpool, Cheshire and was buried with his wife.

William was a fisherman and lived in Hoose, now called Hoylake. They continued to live in Hoose and reared their family.

ROBERT PICKERING JONES (ROBERT3, ROBERT2, JOHN1) was born Abt. 1844 in Liverpool. He married MARTHA and became the successful farmer of Arrowe Brook Farm, Arrowe, Cheshire, which was 145 acres.

Martha died on the 1st January, 1906 aged 59 years and Robert died on the 13th January, 1912 aged 68 years on their farm. They were both buried in St. Mary Parish Church, Eastham.

ELLEN JONES (WILLIAM WILSON3, JOSEPH2, JOHN1) was born in Hoylake, Wirral and was baptised on the 9th July, 1850, Holy Trinity Parish Church, Hoylake. At the age of 21 years she emigrated to Australia as a free paying passenger on the Royal Dane sailing from London on the 18th August,1871. She arrived in Brisbane on the 2nd December, 1871.

She married WILLIAM HENRY THOMAS, son of WILLIAM THOMAS and ELIZABETH BARON, in Dalby, Queensland, Australia on the 28th January, 1874 and they lived and reared their family in Queensland, Australia.

William died on the 20th April, 1908 and was buried in Toowong Cemetery, Brisbane, Australia on the 21st April, 1908. Ellen died some years later on the 29th October, 1920 and was buried the following day with her husband.
